Dashboard
Overview
The Dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of your infrastructure’s security posture, including compliance statistics, trends, and recent activity.

Menu: Dashboard (main page after login)
Dashboard Sections
Summary Statistics
The top row displays key metrics:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Hosts | Number of registered servers |
| Online Hosts | Servers currently reachable via SSH |
| Avg Compliance Score | Average CIS compliance percentage across all hosts |
| Active Jobs | Number of currently running hardening or scanning jobs |
Compliance Trends Chart
A line chart showing compliance score trends over time:
- X-axis: Date (last 30 days by default)
- Y-axis: Compliance score (0-100%)
- Lines: One line per SCAP profile used
The chart helps identify:
- Overall security improvement or degradation
- Impact of hardening operations
- Compliance drift over time
Score Distribution
A pie chart showing the distribution of hosts by compliance score ranges:
| Range | Color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 80-100% | Green | Good compliance |
| 60-79% | Yellow | Needs attention |
| 0-59% | Red | Critical issues |
Host Ranking
A bar chart showing the top and bottom performing hosts by compliance score.
This helps prioritize which hosts need immediate attention.
Recent Scans
A table showing the most recent compliance scans:

| Time | When the scan was performed |
Click on a row to navigate to the Compliance page with details.
Activity Timeline
A timeline showing recent system activity:
- Host additions and deletions
- Compliance scans started/completed
- Hardening jobs executed
- Schedule triggers
- Configuration changes
Auto-Refresh
The Dashboard automatically refreshes data every 30 seconds to show real-time status.
You can also manually refresh by clicking the browser refresh button or pressing F5.
Filtering
By Host
Select a specific host from the dropdown to filter all statistics to that host only.
By Date Range
Some charts allow selecting a date range to analyze specific time periods.
Export
Dashboard data can be exported:
- Screenshot: Use browser print function or screenshot tool
- Raw Data: Navigate to specific pages (Compliance, Jobs) for CSV/JSON export
Best Practices
Daily Review
Check the Dashboard daily to:
- Monitor overall compliance health
- Identify hosts with declining scores
- Review failed jobs
- Track hardening progress
Alerting
Use the Dashboard to identify hosts that need attention:
- Hosts with scores below 60% should be prioritized
- Hosts with declining trends may have configuration drift
- Failed jobs indicate connectivity or permission issues
Troubleshooting
No Data Displayed
If the Dashboard shows no data:
- Verify hosts are added to the system
- Run at least one compliance scan
- Check that the API is responding (try refreshing)
Stale Data
If data appears outdated:
- Check auto-refresh is working (status should update)
- Manually refresh the page
- Verify the API service is running
Charts Not Loading
If charts fail to render:
- Check browser console for errors
- Try a different browser
- Clear browser cache
