Project Niflheim

Project Niflheim

Niflheim is one of the nine worlds in Norse mythology.

It is a realm of ice, mist, and cold, often described as a land of primordial darkness and cold, in contrast to the fiery realm of Muspelheim.

According to the myths, it is located in the northern region and is one of the oldest realms, created at the beginning of the world.

Niflheim is also associated with the well Hvergelmir, from which many rivers flow, and it is often depicted as a place of desolation and death.

In some interpretations, it is connected with Hel, the land of the dead, ruled by the goddess Hel, where souls that do not go to Valhalla or other afterlife destinations reside.
